About the Bennington Bakery

Katherine Rebecca "Becca" Erb, proprietor of the Bennington Bakery, is a native of historic Bennington, VT who has devoted her career to the culinary arts, with specific focus on  gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian and otherwise healthy, environmentally-friendly and socially-conscious eating.  Through extensive experience in health food stores and cooperatives, bakeries, restaurants and other food industry venues, combined with many years of experimentation at home, she has developed a method of baking using only gluten-free ingredients that is best described as revolutionary in its freshness, taste and innovation.  Her knowledge pertaining to specific and often very challenging dietary needs is extensive.  When you enjoy her gourmet baked goods you can expect nothing short of deliciousness.

The Bennington Bakery is a Vermont state licensed home bakery.  We first opened for business in the spring of 2009.  Our mission is to produce natural, hand-made, gourmet goods baked in small batches using exclusively gluten-free ingredients and whenever possible from sources that are natural, local and organic.  A variety of our products can be found at local retailers including: Spice 'n Nice and The Market Wagon in Bennington, VT; New Morning Natural Foods and the Spiral Press Cafe in Manchester Center, VT; The Shaftsbury Country Store in Shaftsbury; and the Wild Oats Co-op in Williamstown, MA.  ...plus you can enjoy our vegan herbed pizza crusts at the Marigold Kitchen in North Bennington, VT.  We also attend the Walloomsac Farmers' Market on Saturdays in downtown Bennington.  We take special orders, can deliver to you and will gladly accomodate all of your catering needs.  Please let us know if you have any special requests and contact us for details or to place an order.
